 STRANGE ADVENTURES (DC) Gold - Silver Age -part one 001-065


This was a typical 1950's science fiction anthology series. HA! Did I say typical? This was much better than most. It was a comic book and it was the 1950's in America, so yes, pretty cheesy/corny at times, but GREAT cheese. Hmm.. cheese corn....


On top of the one-shot stories it had various recurring characters. Captain Comet. The Atomic Knights. The Space Museum series. Later on it introduced characters who would go on to greatness (or at least mediocrity). Deadman, Animal Man, Adam Strange.

The first issue was apparently a somewhat interesting attempt to combine photos with drawing but not a good attempt.

So here are those little green "men" - with the last woman on earth! Last man/woman stories were big. Surprise! Her name is Eve! The real surprise is there is not a man named Adam.;) But wait! We haven't had any KILLER ROBOTS!

Of course there are many covers with Gorillas (in just these 65 issues) - but this is my favorite.
